Organizations

Any organization with international membership or scope is called an international organization such as World Trade Organization and European Union. International organization covers the entire field of international affairs like foreign policies, international relations, security policies, environmental disputes, economic development and adjustment and international capital movements. There are intergovernmental organizations and international non governmental organizations. These organizations play a crucial role in the development of global ICT and telecommunications sector. The ITU and WTO have governments as their members, WB (World Bank) and IMF can be regarded as non profit organizations whoso aim is to offer international aid to countries for various development projects.

An international organization acts as crucial forces of coordination on many political, social and cultural issues. International organization may be established by a consistent document such as charter or convention which is signed by the founding members. Membership of some international organizations opens to all nations of the world and they are mainly developed from the needs of nations and governments to have a natural forum to consider matters of debate and importance. International organizations promote education, health care, economic development, human rights and conflict resolution.

Important global organizations are the United Nations, international seabed authority, organization for the prohibition for chemical weapons, Interpol and world trade organization. Today's international organizations needs to infrastructure, expertise and fund to address problems facing the world.

Free trade associations are the European Union which includes countries of Western Europe to form an economic union; NAFTA is the North African free trade agreement among the United States, Mexico and Canada. MERCOSUR is also a free trade agreement that encompasses mainly Brazil and Argentina. International Monetary Fund is the global organization and its major purpose is to loan money to countries that have experience temporary balance to payments problems. World Trade Organization's goal is to reduce barriers to trade among its members.

It deals with the rules of trade between nations and to help producers of goods and services, exporters and importers. World Bank is the global organization whose main function is to make long term loans to lesser developed countries for economic development. United Nations is a complex organization and others are international labor organization and food and agricultural organization. The contributions of international organizations in the market are largely marked in the recent years and due to this world economy has gained tremendous success after the participations by most of the countries throughout the world. Countries have opened their economic boundaries and have faced the global competitions with the presence of international organizations.

One of the international organizations is the United Nations Conference Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and its head office is situated at Geneva, Switzerland. The sole aim of this organization is to ensure that domestic policy and international actions are supportive for sustainable development. UNCTAD deals with research, policy and data collection and helps to developing nations of the world by giving technical assistance. An organization of petroleum exporting countries (OPEC) is an intergovernmental organization whose aim is to maintain stability in the oil prices through economic and regular supply of the petroleum. It was founded in the year 1960 by Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia.
